EFT & Christian Perception

For Christians who are concerned about the scriptural nature of complementary medicine, the link below will provide a scripture-based apologetic on this much misunderstood subject. This site aims to help those who are faced with health care issues that the Church and conventional medicine cannot treat.

Healing with Christian Compassion
“…To heal the broken-hearted…” Luke 4:18

INTRODUCTION

Hi, I am Isaac Lim a Christian complementary therapist. This website is design to help those who are faced with healthcare issues that the church and conventional medicine had failed to understand and treat. I am not saying that this is the general problem but that it is the experience of a growing number of whom the ‘normal’ method and options had failed to provide relief. Like the woman with the issue of blood in Luke 8 who has run out of options. She can only seek what many would consider in that day as an unorthodox means of healing which was faith in the power of a man who claims to be the Son of God-Jesus Christ. The method of healing was completely unconventional for it was by the mere stolen touch of the hem of His garment This desparately ill women whom many can relate to had lost much blood and money to many physicians. Not only was she was down to her last dollar, I would think being chronically anemic she was also literally down to her last ounce of strength which she used to seek an alternative cure. Some would call it faith healing  but really it was the power of Christ that healed her as He said ‘Who touched me ?for He sensed some of His power leave His body and into hers which brought about an instantaneous healing. Here was a transfer of divine power/energy into the depleted energy of a mortal person. Her blood was stanched! Her years of gradually bleeding to death ended!  She was completely healed!

Some Christians might say in a cursory manner ‘Sure she was, after all it was Jesus Christ who used divine power to heal her.’ I would like to remind you that at that time the Lord Jesus was regarded as a mere man a rebel and at most an enemy and deceiver by the Sanhedrin which was the ruling religious body of that day. He was not recognised as a physician much less ‘the Son of God’. He was looked upon and even despised as the son of a carpenter, ‘is this not the son of Joseph the carpenter’. So my friends this woman was in all reality seeking a cure that is not sanction by the guild of physicians of that day (if there were such a guild). She was also seeking help from one who in the judgment of the religious body of that time is an unapproved man with doubtful means. These religious Pharisees faced with countless miraculous healings by Jesus Christ and his increasing popularity with the people conspired to proclaim that he was healing by the ‘powers of Beelzebub!’ It is by satanic powers! they declared. It was at this decisive moment that the Lord Jesus ministry change to be less inclusive. He begin speaking in parables that those who rejected Him would not be able to understand. The ignorance and fears of the ruling religious body will continue in the darkness of their own doing and it is interesting to note that not a single Pharisee was to experience healing from Him until after his resurrection.  This woman with the issue of blood was in all reality seeking an alternative healer whom the establishment of that day would advise her against and disapproved. She desperately needed to be healed. She had nothing more to lose. She had obviously heard about Christ’s power to heal and that was enough for her to place her faith in Him.

Today many good Christians are faced with the same dilemma as the women with the issue of blood. Christians are faced with health issues that conventional western medicine could not help or could help but with great cost financially or physically in terms of damaging side effects. They look to other options which are called complementary and alternative treatment but are troubled by this question ‘Is it scriptural and approved of God?’ Many churches are unable or unwilling to decide because the Bible does not even mention anything about energy psychology, acupuncture, qigong and the many healing modalities available today. When approached about alternative healing they will ‘Google’ it and base on the limited view and understanding that medical science had not yet proven its effectiveness they may advice against it because it is better to be on the safe side! But is this doing justice and showing compassion to a suffering child of God? Should we not seek to understand it with spiritual wisdom that if the scripture does not prohibit it, it is not to be called ‘powers of Beelzebub’. Silence does not mean it is unscriptural after all the Bible does not mention the use of computers and air conditioning in the church. Let us note that medical science is still unable to prove that we have a soul and a spirit so does that mean we should not believe that we possess soul and spirit because it is ‘unscientific’. I would like ‘real shepherds’ to remove the blinders that narrow the views of many and search the scripture and scientific evidence base not only on biology but also on quantum physics that ‘energy’ which is the basis of alternative healing is real and part of God’s beautiful creation. This is the purpose of the website, to help you understand the issues involved and alternative therapies available for Christians suffering in pain and resources for Christian based complementary therapy.  Christians who are unable to make decisions because of a lack of knowledge about the ‘scripturalness’ of complementary and alternative healing will find that ‘the truth will set them free’. I sincerely feel that it is man’s ignorance that prevents others from finding healing. If I can help others to find healing through this website I would have achieved my ministry as a therapist and healer but most of all done what Christ has so intended in His earthly ministry which is a holistic healing ministry spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically for all man:

Luk 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”

Healing of the Woman with the Issue of Blood- KJV.

Luk 8:43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any,

Luk 8:44 Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched.

Luk 8:45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

Luk 8:46 And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue(power/energy) is gone out of me.

Luk 8:47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

Luk 8:48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
